  • Fifth-Generation Language (5GL)

    Programming that uses a visual or graphical development interface to create source language that is usually compiled with a 3GL or 4GL language compiler. Visual programming allows easy vision of OOP class hierarchies.

  • File (Computer systems)

    An entity of data available to system users (including the system itself and its application programs) that is capable of being manipulated as an entity. The file must have a unique name within its own directory.
