  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)

    A way to rent hardware, operating systems, storage and network capacity over the Internet. It allows the customer to rent virtualized servers and associated services for running existing applications or developing and testing new ones.

  • Play

  • Plotter

  • Pocket

    Pocket, previously known as Read It Later, is an application for managing a reading list of articles from the Internet. It is available for iOS and Android as well as multiple web browsers and commonly used computer operating systems. The application allows the user to save an article or web page to read later. The article is then sent to the user's Pocket list (synced to all of their devices) for offline reading. Pocket removes clutter from articles and allows the user to adjust text settings for easier reading.

  • Podcasting

    Podcasting is online audio content delivered and consumed at the  convenience of the user. Unlike radio which allows you to follow as per the broadcaster, podcasts give you the flexibility to listen to whatever, whenever and whereever you like. Podcasts are delivered via an RSS Feed.

  • Point of Sale

    Point of sale (also called POS or checkout) is the place where a retail transaction is completed. It is the point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or services. At the point of sale the retailer would calculate the amount owed by the customer and provide options for the customer to make payment. The merchant will also normally issue a receipt for the transaction.

    An access point from one place to the rest of the Internet. A POP necessarily has a unique Internet Protocol (IP) address. The number of POPs that an ISP or OSP has is sometimes used as a measure of its size or growth rate.

    A system which collect large volumes of barcode/POS data every day.  Barcode data are information from barcodes automatically gathered as a consumer's purchases are put through a check-out. After processing, the data can be very useful for marketing.

    A protocol for communication between two computers using a serialinterface, typically a personal computer connected by phone line to a server.
