  • Active Directory domain (AD domain)

    A collection of objects within a Microsoft Active Directory network. An object can be a single user or a group or it can be a hardware component, such as a computer or printer.

    An ad server is a computer server, specifically a web server backed by a database server, that stores advertisements used in online marketing and delivers them to website visitors. The purpose of ad serving is to deliver ads to users, to manage a websites advertising space and (in the case of advertiser ad servers) to provide an independent counting and tracking system for advertisers.

  • Ad-hoc network

    A Local Area Network (LAN) that is built spontaneously as devices connect. Instead of relying on a base station to coordinate the flow of messages to each node in the network, the individual network nodes forward packets to and from each other.
